Autumn in New York
Remember me back
To the time
The last of the summer sun
Warmed the changing leaves
And skylines past
Welcomed us in the chilly mornings
>From the breezy bow
Of the Staten Island Ferry
Surely Lady Liberty waved
In her peaceful triumph
And the crisper gentle winds
Gave hope for another day
Now silent stand the bows once there
Find a broken city in despair
The giants missing in the smoke-filled sky
And The Lady crying in the distance
